Schedule:
Flexible hours between Monday and Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM CT. We work around your class schedule! Hours can change every semester. This position begins in the spring of 2026 and extends into and beyond the next school year. You can earn internship credit for this position in the summers as well.

You are: - Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field. Applicants from all other majors and fields of study are also welcome. - Detail-oriented and organized - Comfortable following established processes - A strong proofreader - Reliable and deadline-driven - Professional in both communication and demeanor - Willing to learn and help wherever needed - Excited to learn new technologies and software
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Preferred Experience (Not Required): - Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) - Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) - Social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, SocialPilot) - Email or print production (Eloqua, Canva, or Mailchimp) - Adobe Creative Suite (for basic editing) - Project management tools (Asana) - Cloud-based document management tools (i.e., Box, Google Drive) - Internal messaging apps and web conferencing tools (i.e., Teams, Zoom) - Video editing software (Premiere, iMovie, Descript) - Basic HTML knowledge
Position Summary/Job Duties:
UW–Madison's InterPro seeks a qualified student to assist in content development for collateral, email marketing, social media, and websites. This position will report to the InterPro Marketing Specialist within the Professional Development pillar. The ideal candidate will have superb communication skills and intermediate experience in a variety of software. Job duties include, but are not limited to: - Proofreading, fact-checking, and formatting copy for email and social media - Helping maintain marketing calendars and campaign timelines - Organizing and managing marketing assets (photos, templates, logos) - Supporting the creation and distribution of print collateral - Connecting with Program Directors for edits and revisions to content - Writing and editing articles in collaboration with Program Directors - Strategizing, designing, and publishing content to our social media channels on a regular basis - Writing and designing emails to effectively market nearly 200 Professional Development courses - Editing and creating webpages in WordPress - Exploring and applying emerging AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, image generators, data assistants) to enhance productivity, support project goals, and improve operational efficiency - Supporting the Marketing Specialist in other projects as assigned
