Qualifications:
Current Work Study eligible UW student (any major welcome, but Education, STEM/STEAM, Arts, and Social Sciences are a plus)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Someone who enjoys working with youth and can explain concepts in a fun, supportive way. • Comfortable juggling a mix of teaching support, tech, and creative projects. • Good communicator and team player. • Flexible with schedule and able to work across multiple school sites. • Excited about STEAM education, creativity, and community impact
Position Summary/Job Duties:
• Help design and improve STEAM curriculum (fun, hands-on projects). • Support students with their STEAM projects and presentations. • Provide math tutoring and homework help. • Get classrooms and materials ready for STEAM activities. • Manage and update the STEAM e-learning platform (don’t worry, we’ll train you). • Work with the Program Director on finding and applying for grants. • Assist with our STEAM TV show “Xel-Xeeli”, which highlights student projects and community impact. • Brainstorm and contribute ideas for STEAMFest and other student showcases.
