Department Overview:

 The CALL-ECL project is part of the Equity-Centered Principal Pipeline Initiative funded by The Wallace Foundation, and is studying how eight urban school districts across the US prepare equity-centered school leaders. The project documents how these districts train and support leaders in leading for equity, trace the growth of professional networks, and develop data tools to support the practices of equity-centered leaders in schools.

Qualifications:

 - Current UW Madison Student
- Interest in education research centered around equity
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to be proactive
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Able to commit to a regular weekly schedule in-person, with some availability to work remote

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Detail-oriented
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage workload and work independently to meet deadlines and expectations
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and seek information & resources to gain clarity and understanding

Position Summary/Job Duties:

The CALL-ECL Research Assistant's primary responsibility is to support qualitative and quantitative research activities under the guidance of the CALL-ECL leadership team.

This will include the following tasks:
- Transcribe, proofread, and clean pre-recorded CALL-ECL interviews
- Research and write memos on current events & district news relevant to the project for the research team
- Other duties as assigned
