We're on the lookout for a caring and dependable person to work in a private mental health support home.  This is a great opportunity for a UW student looking for a part-time job with flexible hours and the chance to work with people diagnosed with schizophrenia, chronic depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder and more.  Our clients do change and the care needs change each time we get a new client.  As of August 2024 we have a client that may be interesting to people pursuing a medical degree. As a bonus, this job may also fulfill internship credit.

As the support person, you'll help with everyday activities like companionship, meal-prep light cleaning and general daytime activities to support our four sweet clients. No prior caregiving experience is necessary but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are a must.

The schedule is flexible and we're happy to work around your school commitments. We're looking for someone who can commit to around 10 to 15 hours per week with weekend availability being a plus.

Special Items:

You must like dogs, we have a few in the house.
Car required. 15 miles/20-minute drive from the capitol.
No Smokers, our people don’t like the residual smell of smoke.
Submit to a state required Criminal Background Disclosure before hire.
Submit to a state required TB before starting work.
