Schedule:
Practices are after school between 3:15-7pm weeknights. Swim meets are on various weekends throught the Fall-Spring.
Will work with your schedule based on availability if you are a good fit for the role.

Position Summary/Job Duties:
Oregon Community Swim Club
Part Time Starting August/September 2024
Short-course season: August-March (with the potential to stay on for additional seasons)
OCSC is looking for a reliable, motivated and enthusiastic coach to assist with our program. Under the supervision of the Head Coach and Program Director, the assistant coach would be responsible for assisting with group practices, guide individual swimmers and technique and assist younger age groups during meets.
Responsibilities::
Assist Head Coaches during practices
Attend meets on the schedule if necessary
Conduct swim team practice in a safe, friendly, and competitive environment
Run stroke clinics independent of practices (optional, additional pay for this time)
This position could consist of 10 to 25 hours a week depending on the candidate’s availability. Compensation could be hourly, or a salary depending on the candidate’s qualifications and agreed upon coaching arrangement.
We are looking for candidates with a dynamic personality, passionate towards swimming, dependable and have strong communication and organizational skills. Our ideal person will have experience and be comfortable working with many age groups.

Qualifications:
Certification in Lifeguarding, CPR, First-Aid & AED or be willing to obtain once hired
Current USA Swimming certifications or willingness to obtain prior to starting
Previous coaching experience – 2+ years.
Extraordinary organizational and communication skills
Positive outgoing personality and passion for coaching and working with young athletes.
Ability to be an authoritative figure when enforcing club and facilities rules
Experience with Team Unify, OnDeck, Team/Meet Manager is a plus.
Physical Demands
Must be able to stand for several hours at a time
