Position Summary/Job Duties:

Respite Providers at UCP are non-medical caretakers that spend time with people with developmental disabilities while their main caretaker is able to go to work, do chores, study, or simply take a relaxing break knowing that their loved one is with a trustworthy individual that will engage in fun activities. This role is in the client's home or out in the community.

We are looking for someone that can spend time with 2 brothers, hanging out at the park, reading books, or listening to music. People with developmental disabilities do not often get to interact with people outside their close circle, so we'd love to find someone willing to create a strong bond with the person as a mentor.

This role is in the North of Madison, accessible via bus. RespiteProviders make anywhere between $16 and $18 per hour, depending on which client they are working with. When working with this specific family, you will be making $18/hour.

Qualifications:

Enjoys working with children.

Interest in working with people with disabilities.
