Department Overview:

We work in partnership with parents to enhance the care-giving capacity of families and the Dane County community. Our programs offer case management, respite care, financial assistance, information and advocacy through services that are individualized, flexible, and designed to respond to family needs and preferences.

The mission of Family Support & Resource Center is to make it possible for children and youth with disabilities in Dane County to live at home with their families as valued and participating members of the community.

Schedule:

We are looking to schedule 15 to 30 hours per week of care while the kids are in school. There are more hours available over school breaks and during the summer. Hours can be flexible but after-school care and weekly dates nights are a priority. Occasional weekend help, before-school care, and overnights are also an option. We are open to a live-in nanny if we find the right person!

Salary/Wage Range:

Hourly $16.00 to $25.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:

We are seeking an energetic, dependable nanny to assist in caring for our 10-year old son and 9-year-old daughter in Waunakee. Our daughter has 1p36 Deletion Syndrome, which causes both physical and cognitive disabilities. She is non-verbal and her care needs are similar to that of a toddler.

If you use your own car, we will reimburse mileage to cover gas and wear on the car. If you use our car, we will provide money for gas.We offer 2-weeks paid vacation. There will be options to travel with our family. A furnished private bedroom and bath are available if a live-in option is desired.

Qualifications:

Dressing, bathing, diapering, feeding, and ensuring the safety of our daughter

Maintaining our daily schedule for the children

Transporting the children to appointments and extracurricular activities

Assisting with light housekeeping tasks related to our daughter, such as tidying up after play or meals

Physical Demands

Diapering, dressing, bathing
