Schedule:
The Dance Instructor will collaborate with the education team to select appropriate songs and determine the learning objectives for each video.
Choreography and dance preparation will be done independently, with flexible hours, and all time spent choreographing, teaching, and recording will be counted as official work hours.
The instructor will meet with the team for video recording sessions. If a group dance is preferred, the instructor may also teach the routine to other team members.
Video recording sessions will take place in various locations, such as yoga studios, gyms, or outdoor spaces on UW-Madison campus, depending on the theme of the video.
The specific times for video recording will be arranged based on the availability of all participants, ensuring flexibility and coordination.

Position Summary/Job Duties:
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Dance Instructor to join our teaching team. The role will involve choreographing and recording dance routines that help children aged 6 to 10 learn English as a foreign language in a fun and engaging way. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music and dance, excellent communication skills in English, and a love for teaching children.
Responsibilities:
Create simple, energetic dance routines that incorporate basic English vocabulary, phrases and sentences.
Teach the choreography to other team members if a group dance video is preferred.
Record short dance videos designed to teach English to young learners.
Collaborate with the IvyRead team to develop new content and improve the overall learning experience.
Qualifications:
Majoring in Music, Dance, Education, English or a related field.
An English native speaker.
Experience in dance teaching or choreography, particularly for young children.
A passion for teaching and creativity in integrating dance with language learning.
Experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) is a plus.
Physical Demands
Standing for repetitive motions such as demonstrating dance moves and musical performance gestures
