Department Overview:

Dreamweavers is a non-profit agency that helps adults with developmental disabilities live a high quality, independent life in their homes and in the community. We strive towards providing the necessary support so persons with disabilities may access community opportunities, have safe and happy lives, and work towards self-reliance and independence. Depending upon the home, some responsibilities may include personal cares, attending to medical needs, or negotiating behavioral challenges. Our homes are all in Madison, on bus lines, and we offer very flexible schedules…perfect for students!

Position Summary/Job Duties:

DREAMWEAVERS is seeking support staff to help adults with developmental disabilities live a high quality, independent life in their homes and in the community. If you've got a sense of fun, compassion, and enthusiasm in helping others live their best life possible, we'd love to talk to you about a position. This will be the least boring job you ever have. All majors welcome!

Responsibilities include helping our consumers experience the Madison community and events (concerts, going to parks, baseball games, art classes, festivals, etc) along with activities in the home, cooking and cleaning, and documentation. Depending upon the individual, responsibilities may include some personal/medical cares and/or working with behavioral challenges. No experience necessary, all training provided in home. Extremely fun and rewarding work!

We offer flexible hours including weekend and weekday overnights with paid sleep time, along with some weekend day hours. Our schedules are a perfect fit for school schedules. Part time hours available. All houses are in Madison and on buslines.

Qualifications:

No experience necessary! All training provided on the job. However, you must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
