Are you looking to make a difference in the lives of 1-4 individuals who are advanced aged, developmentally and/or physically disabled? Are you looking for a work environment that is fun, family-owned/operated and a home-based setting? We are currently looking for compassionate and caring personal care assistants to fill part-time and full-time positions providing care to residents residing in our east Madison home.  No experience necessary! We are willing to train the right people. 

Primary responsibilities include: 

• Supporting residents in activities of daily living (ADL's ) folllowing each resident's individual care plan. This may include dressing, bathing/showering, feeding, medciation administration/reminders,etc...
• Encouraging participation in activites both inside the home and in the community.  Attend community-based outings with residents as needed during shift. 
• Following the schedule of resident's needs as provided by supervisor including providing support for residents with behavioral support plans. 
• Preparing nutritious meals and snacks as needed during shift. 
• Daily housekeeping duties such as resident laundry, cleaning/tidying common areas and resident bedrooms. 

We are a small adult family home in a quiet residential neighborhood on the east side of Madison licensed by the state of Wisconsin to provide care for up to 4 residents.  The owner lives in the home, is very involved in the daily activities of the home and provides all overnight care creating a very home-like, family environment. 

Various shifts are available between the hours of 7:00am-10:00pm weekdays (Mon-Fri), 8:00am-8:00pm (Sat and Sun) and occasional overnights as needed.  

Minimum starting pay is $17/hour with opportunity for increase. 

This is a wonderful opportunity for students pursuing a career in healthcare or social work.

• Must be able to pass a caregiver background check.
• Must have transportation.  Nearest bus stop is 0.3 miles from the home (approximate 8 minute walk)
• Must be able to legally work in the United States without sponsorship. 
• Must be proficient in English (both written and verbal) in order to follow resident care plans and provide documentation of resident care.
