Department Overview:
Madison International Partners celebrates the rich diversity of many international students, visitors and residents in Madison, Wisconsin. We provide a “home away from home” for these global citizens in Madison and allows Madison community members to “travel the world without leaving Madison.”
Our mission is to help global citizens living in, or connected to, the Madison area thrive through hospitality, friendship and cross-cultural exchanges. Through our various programs and activities, we create the conditions for international experience-sharing and gaining a better understanding between people of different races, cultures, religions, and social backgrounds.
We are committed to helping global citizens and their families in our community experience and enjoy American culture, make significant friendships, and adjust to life in the U.S. We help them improve their English skills by matching them up with native English speakers for conversation and friendship. This also offers Americans the opportunity to be exposed to foreign cultures without leaving home.

Fridays: 6 to 8 pm
4th Saturday of the month in January, February, April, May, September, and October. 4 to 7 pm
Salary/Wage Range:
Hourly $14.00 to $16.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:
Warmly welcome families and children participating in English Conversation Time and International Cooking & Dinner.
Provide childcare for kids whose parents participate in English Conversation Time or International Cooking & Dinner.
Create and lead safe activities to keep the children engaged.
Supervise a team of 4 or 5 Badger Volunteers who are helping with childcare during spring and fall semesters.
Keep the childcare room clean and neat.
Qualifications:
HS/GED or equivalent
Be someone who would like to be exposed to people from other countries, share global perspective on world events, and learn first hand about other cultures from the children.
