Department Overview:

Soccer Shots Madison is an introduction to soccer enrichment program for children ages 2-8 years old. Our program is non-competitive and focuses on character development and FUN!  We run classes in child care centers and offer public programs. Our programs are located throughout Dane County. Our caring team strives to positively impact children's lives on and off the field!

Schedule:

 

  • Availability options (Coaching opportunities at childcare/preschool locations and public park locations)
    • Weekdays (9:00AM-12:30PM)
    • Weekday Evenings- 4:30PM-6:30PM (1 required, 2 preferred)
    • Weekends (1 Weekend morning required) (9:00am - 12:30pm)

We provide paid training, coaching equipment, and all curriculum materials. This is a part-time, seasonal position and can be somewhat flexible, depending on your schedule, however once your schedule is set with us, it won't change. You'll be at the same locations at the same time each week for the entire season. 

Salary/Wage Range:

Hourly $20.00 to $24.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Soccer Shots is a non-competitive, character-focused soccer program that introduces soccer to children ages 2-8.  Our caring team positively impacts children's lives on and off the field through best-in-class coaching, curriculum and communication.  We are looking for part time instructors who are passionate about working with children.  We offer soccer classes at public and private locations throughout Dane County.

Qualifications:

We are looking for instructors who meet the following criteria:

  • Responsible: Timely, attentive, safety conscious, and committed to fulfilling assigned schedule.
  • Engaging:  Comfortable and confident, the ability to keep a group 10 or more children safely engaged, entertained and excited to learn about the beautiful game of soccer.
  • Enthusiastic & Fun:  Outgoing, animated, and have the ability to connect with young children (2 - 8 years old).
  • Patient/Adaptable:  Recognizes that not every game will go as planned, distractions will occur and patience is an ally.
  • Professional:  Friendly and courteous in all communication with childcare staff, parents and administrators.
  • Team Player:  Collaborative, dependable, excellent communicator and commitment to elevating those around you.
  • Soccer Enthusiast:  Soccer experience is preferred, however, if you are great working with children, have some familiarity playing the game, and/or experience in other sports- this can work.
  • Prior Experience Working with Children:  Must be able to engage and interact with 2-8 year olds and have experience doing so.
  • Reliable Transportation:  Must have a safe and reliable car. You are responsible for driving yourself to your sites. Must have a clean driving record.  Might also be assigned equipment, which you will have to bring to each session.
  • Background check cleared:  Must pass a State Background Check and FBI Fingerprinting.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
