ISO a summer nanny/babysitter for full time care.  Their “charge” will mostly be our delightful (seriously, she's a super cool kid) 7yo daughter. On occasion her 11- and 13-yo brothers will also be around (the 13yo rarely needs anything)— however, they’re mostly doing camps all summer.  Duties will include taking her to the pool / swim team (she is a strong swimmer, but ideal candidate will be willing to get in with her sometimes during free swim) and gymnastics (nearby but must be able to drive); crafts and games; general summertime fun; occasionally supervising play dates with a friend; preparing meals and snacks for her and packed lunches for brothers; ensuring brothers leave house to walk to their camp bus on time in the morning; light housekeeping (ie keeping the house tidy from your activities, loading dishes and wiping counters after you cook, that sort of thing) and maintaining good communication with parents.

Start date is flexible after the end of the UW semester. Could employ for part time work if desired until the end of the kids' school year on 6/11 (our current after school nanny is a student and will be heading home for the summer starting 5/3). This is negotiable.  Most importantly, we need full time care (week days only) 6/12-8/29, with a few days' exception for our summer trip. We are able to have some flexibility to accommodate applicant's days-off needs with adequate advance notice. Expect 40 hours per week (weekdays only, spread over 4 or 5 days per week). Exact schedule would be discussed between caregiver and family.

We live in the University-Hill Farms neighborhood, near Hilldale Mall / Rennebohm Park / Van Hise Elementary.  Ideally the applicant will have a car (for gymnastics driving), but this is not a firm requirement.  Our neighborhood is bike- and bus-able from downtown/campus.

1. Experience working with children, such as prior babysitting or nannying job, camp counselor, education student, etc.  

2. Active and enthusiastic about outdoor activities, crafts, imaginative and creative play, and silliness

3. Able to pass a background check

4. Possesses a valid driver's license and has a clean driving record

5. Comfortable getting into a swimming pool (which has lifeguards)

6. Basic meal prep skills (for kids' breakfast, lunch and snacks)

7. No smoking, vaping, alcohol, or other substance use while on duty / may not come to work intoxicated or smelling of smoke / marijuana

8. Able to provide references
