Schedule:

Academic Year

  • Flexible scheduling based on your academic availability and operational need
  • 5 hours a week required, 10-15 hours per week preferred
  • Shifts are a minimum of 3 hours
  • Shifts are available from 7:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday

Summer

  • 25-40 hours per week, positions based on availability & operational need, flexible scheduling options may be available, schedule will be set upon hire Shifts are available from 7:00AM-4:00PM Monday-Friday
  • Seasonal: This position is considered seasonal during the summer months and is exempt from the 89-day rule in regard to the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Hours worked may exceed 30 hours/week during the summer months.

THE DAYS/HOURS WE ARE LOOKING TO FILL ARE AS FOLLOWS:

Our hours of operation are Mon-Fri 7am-4pm. There are no weekend shifts available for this position.

You may be available anytime during the listed timeframes as long as you are available for a minimum 3-hour shift on each day.
To be eligible for this position, you must fulfill the hours preference of 10 hours per week. The hour maximum is 20 hours per week.

Please list what days and hours you are available to work, as well as how many total hours you are available to work per week.

This position will begin on August 26th. Fall 2024 availability is required. Spring 2025 availability is required. Summer 2025 availability is preferred.

Applicants that are not available to work in Fall 2024 and Spring 2025, are not able to fulfill a shift hour requirement of 3 hours minimum per shift and are not able to fulfill a weekly hour preference of 10 hours minimum per week will not be considered.

This position will be located at Turner Offices 1620 Kronshage Drive.

Salary/Wage Range:

Hourly $15.00 to $15.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Office Assistants provide an organized and welcoming environment for staff and guests in Housing Facilities Offices. They support the administrative functions of the Housing Facilities Offices.

  • Assist with office reception and related clerical duties.
  • Perform general office duties including answering phones, filing, word processing and special projects
  • Report facilities-related issues and follow-up with staff, customers, and/or vendor partners as needed
  • Perform data entry tasks into web-based programs used within Facilities
  • Assist staff in ordering supplies and communicating with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Communicate updates on requests to staff by email, phone, and in-person conversation.
  • Use Microsoft Office programs to provide support to staff
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Summer specific duties:
    • Assist with summer inspections of unoccupied buildings and apartments by entering work orders, pulling reports, and tracking damages
    • Assist in communicating to Building Services Supervisors regarding room servicing needs as submitted by conference guests

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to occasionally lift objects weighing approximately 50 lbs.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) is required.
