Schedule:
We are seeking a student to start in the summer and continue through the next academic year. The intern would be able to work up to 15 hours per week during the semester and up to 30 hours per week during the summer, between Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hours are flexible to ensure the student’s education remains a top priority.
This position may be done remotely or from our offices located at 614 Walnut Street in Madison, Wisconsin.
Salary/Wage Range:
Hourly $18.00 to $18.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:
The Innovative Ventures team at WiSys works with community and University partners to support local entrepreneurs and startups through the WiSys VentureHome program. The mission of the WiSys VentureHome program is to support scalable startups by providing local access to a statewide network of resources.
This role will work with the Innovative Ventures team to support entrepreneurs and startups in Wisconsin, assist with the programming and logistics at WiSys VentureHome locations, and assist with the planning and organizing of WiSys events.

The ideal candidate will be a student majoring in or having an emphasis in entrepreneurship, management, communications, business, or related field. Candidates who possess or would like to gain the following skills are encouraged to apply regardless of their major:
A passion for entrepreneurship
Ability to effectively work in a collaborative team environment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), web, and electronic communications technologies
Familiarity with creating marketing materials using platforms like Adobe suite, Canva, etc.
Physical Demands
Limited to typically office work
