Department Overview:

Varies, dependent on business needs We have breakfast, lunch, dinner shifts, all with varying start/end times. Some weekend availability is appreciated. (8 openings) *We are also specifically looking for Monday-Thursday 6:30am- 11:30am availability

10 hours per week (5 openings) *We are also looking for one student who can work Monday-Thursdays 6:30am-11:30am

Position Summary/Job Duties:
Provide overall support for catering and dining areas at the Fluno Center
Assist with preparation of catering events, dining areas and break stations.
Event set up and tear downs, set up buffet lines and break stations, refresh food and supplies
Provide table services as necessary, making menu recommendations, entering orders into POS systems, and collecting payments
Maintain proper sanitation at all times, report hazardous situations immediately
Qualifications:
Must be enrolled as a student at a college or university
Ability to work in a team environment
Customer Service Skills
Positive attitude
Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required
Ability to stand or walk for majority of shift
Ability to lift 20 pounds and push or pull 100 pound carts
Student Status
To be eligible for the Wisconsin Union positions, you must be currently enrolled in a college, university, or highschool (at least 16). It is not permissible to hire a person as a student hourly employee if they are taking credits merely to be eligible for student hourly employment. Review UW Policy 5003- Student Hourly Employment for more information. If school is in break period (summer, spring, winter), applicants must intend to enroll in courses the following semester.
