Position Summary/Job Duties:
The Community Relations Coordinator works closely with the Wisconsin Union Theater’s programming, marketing, and ticketing staff on audience development and community engagement for the Wisconsin Union Theater’s annual season of performing arts.
Responsibilities include:
Researching campus departments, organizations, and community groups
Identifying potential opportunities for group ticket sales or donor-funded complimentary tickets
Communicating and promoting events to different groups in effective ways
Designing a process that ensures a positive experience our guests
Working closely with Theater staff to coordinate tickets, seating, and other related logistical needs.
Position Start/End Dates: position to run for the Fall of 2025 through Spring of 2026
Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with diverse groups with different backgrounds, beliefs, languages, and cultures
Ability to flex schedule and work evenings and weekends as needed
Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate details with external groups
Prior experience in community building or community engagement a plus
Prior knowledge and experience working in arts administration or performing arts environment a plus
Must be a current student in the School of Education to be eligible
