Schedule:

Flexible schedule: planning and procurement can be done during regular working hours or weekends but must be available some M-Th evenings at the beginning of the spring/summer and fall season. Regular availability during those hours is not necessary as long as the concession stand workers are scheduled and working. Must also be available on the following weekend days: May 9,  May 14-16, June 12-14 and July 24-26

Operating hours of the concessions stand:

Monday – Thursday approximately 4:30 – 9 PM, 

Saturday May 9, 8 AM to 5 PM,

May 14-16, June 12-14 and July 24-26 (Friday 4-10PM, Sat and Sun 8AM - 6 PM

Salary/Wage Range:

Lump Sum $2,400.00 to $2,400.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Employment Dates: mid-April through through mid-October

The Concession Stand Manager will be responsible for all aspects of operating the concession stand at our baseball field. The concession stand opens in mid-April for practices. Our regular season starts May 9th and runs through July 26. The Fall season starts August 17 and runs through October 17. There are 3 tournament weekends, see below. This position is supported by the members of the EMLL Board and planned absences can be covered by Board members. 

The Job Responsibilities include:

  • Plan menu and set prices, including supplier research and communication
  • Product procurement, e.g. placing weekly orders with wholesale supplier, online ordering and in person shopping as needed
  • Recruitment and hiring of concession workers, EMLL has existing job descriptions available
  • Training and supervision of concession workers
  • Scheduling workers
  • Schedule and communicate equipment maintenance needs with equipment support persons
  • Receive orders from wholesale suppliers on Thursday afternoons
  • Maintain inventory in Clover
  • Fill in at concession stand as needed during game hours, compensated with hourly rate

Requirements:

  • Experience managing a food or service related establishment is a plus
  • Previous food prep experience and grilling experience is nice to have
  • Access to a computer for vendor communication and ordering
  • Vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to lift approximately 35 lbs and stand for several hours
  • Good communication skills

Compensation: $2400 for the season paid in 5 installments plus end of season bonus based on concession stand profitability, hourly wage when needing to cover hours when concession workers are not available.
