Position Summary/Job Duties:
Summary: Provide essential support to bartenders by maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar and beverage area during UW-Madison athletic events & concerts at Camp Randall Stadium & the Kohl Center Arena . Ensure efficient service by anticipating needs, replenishing supplies, and upholding cleanliness and safety standards. Deliver friendly, timely assistance in a fast-paced, high-energy event environment to support an exceptional guest experience. Anticipated start date in July.
Key Responsibilities:
Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
Sets up assigned bars ; requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce.
Maintains stock, prepares, cures and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality .
Greets guests in a courteous, friendly manner.
Assists bartenders in restocking tasks mid-event such as refilling ice, replacing the soda syrup when empty, restocking cups/napkins/straws
Checks guests at the bar for proper identification when necessary.
Detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained. Demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws .
Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards ; keeps work area clean and organized.
Addresses bar trash bins when full
Sanitizes work surfaces
Ensures beverage machine is cleaned after high volume usage
Clearing any empty beverages/plates/etc. from the tables and chairs in common area
Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area.
Wash and sterilize stemware when applicable
Perform other duties as assigned such as assisting club supervisor with buffet needs, among other tasks.

Willingness to obtain ServSafe Alcohol Safety Certification and Food Handling Certification.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Positive, team-oriented attitude and excellent customer service skills.
Availability to work all UW-Madison Football games and a majority of events at the Kohl Center for the 2026-2027 season.
Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand and walk for long hours.
