Position Summary/Job Duties:

Two UWSMPH Professors in Madison need a reliable and fun summer care provider for three kids, ages 11, 13, and 15. They are pretty self-sufficient, but we would like to get them out of the house and doing some activities other than screen time. Easy outdoor activities include playing in large yard on 1 acre wooded property, playing in nearby parks including schoolyard playground across the street, and nearby neighborhood swim and tennis club activities. We also have a friendly dog, two adorable but shy cats, and four chickens, so you would need to be OK with pets. We have a separate dog walker so pet care is _not_ required, but the dog, a sheltie, will be around in the house. Hours would average 6 to 8 hours per day, with some shorter days of 4 to 6 hours, generally 4 days per week, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, with most Wednesdays off. We could provide minimum guaranteed hours per week if needed. Job hours are expected to include downtime to allow for independent reading/study while being paid. WiFi access included. Must have a valid US driver's license and clean driving record (in order to drive our family car under our insurance policy).

Qualifications:

Must be reliable, responsible, and interested in caring for children in a home environment.  Previous childcare experience is preferred, even if just babysitting experience.

Physical Demands

Must be able to navigate stairs and respond to typical children's care needs.
