Position Summary/Job Duties:
We're seeking a conversation partner for a retired academic who needs a little extra company, 3 hrs/day, 2 to 3 days a week. We can pay undergraduates $22/hr and graduate students $25/hr. The senior academic was born and raised in Italy and is fluent in Italian, French, and English. She would be happy to teach you Italian if you are interested! A bit more about her: She is in her 80s and loves walking, nature, animals, and books. Her research interests include Italian/Latin/Greek history, literature, philosophy, and Christian religions. The conversation partner doesn't need to have expertise in any of these areas; she simply would like to have someone to talk with when her daughter is at work during the day. The senior academic is struggling with Alzheimer's, so we would appreciate a patient and caring conversation partner.
