Position Summary/Job Duties:
Hello,
We are looking for a bright, energetic tutor to help our 9th grader get caught up in Geometry (missed due to illness). Position would be 1 hour, 2-4x per week, including one meeting over the weekend (so, 2-4 hours per week on a regular basis). Must be able to teach high school geometry concepts in person, aid with homework as needed, and help student build confidence in math skills.
We see this position continuing throughout this semester and into next. We will pay $30-35 / hour, based on experience. Hours flexible, but usually after 5 pm.
From previous experience, tutoring works best when it is NOT at our home, so we will meet you for tutoring on campus, at the library, at a coffee shop, etc. We live close to West High School and campus, so meeting would definitely be walkable or on the busline.
