Position Summary/Job Duties: | Mango Man Cooks! is looking for an exceptionally dependable, adaptable, and resourceful person to help keep our busy holiday market operations running smoothly.
This is a hands-on logistics and support position for someone who genuinely enjoys solving problems. On a busy market day, you might set up one location, deliver inventory to another, cover a booth until the assigned salesperson arrives, solve an unexpected supply or equipment problem, check that another market is operating and looking the way it should, and finish the day by tearing down a different location.
The holiday market season moves quickly, and things will not always go according to plan. Supplies get forgotten, inventory runs low, equipment doesn't cooperate, and schedules change. A major part of this position is stepping into those situations, determining what needs to happen, and keeping the operation moving.
We need someone who sees a problem and starts figuring out how to solve it quickly, efficiently and safely.
What You'll Do
Responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of each market day and will include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate market-day logistics, including transporting products, equipment, and supplies between locations
- Set up and tear down Mango Man market booths and make sure they are complete, organized, attractive, and ready to operate
- Handle market supply coordination, including reviewing market needs, restocking and organizing returned supplies, and preparing the inventory, equipment, and supplies needed for upcoming events
- Move between markets to replenish supplies, solve problems, make last-minute store runs, and respond to changing needs
- Open, close or temporarily operate a market booth when needed to cover gaps between sales staff
- Help monitor market operations and presentation, provide direction when needed, and communicate important issues to ownership
- Assist with inventory and other operational needs as they arise

- Trustworthy and customer-service oriented. You'll be entrusted with business vehicles, products, inventory, equipment, supplies, and sales/payment systems while representing Mango Man Cooks! professionally with customers and coworkers.
Driving & Physical Requirements
This is a driving-heavy position.
Applicants must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and experience and confidence driving larger vehicles. Much of the job will involve driving a Mango Man business vehicle between multiple locations during the same day.
The position also involves active physical work, including loading and unloading products and equipment, setting up and breaking down market displays, moving tents, tables, cases, and supplies, standing and walking during events, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Schedule
This is part-time, event-based seasonal holiday work. The person hired for this position must be fully available for all of the following currently scheduled work dates:
November: 6, 7, 13, 20, 21, 27 & 28
December: 4, 5, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19 & 20
Friday assignments will generally focus on preparing, organizing, and setting up markets for the weekend. Market days may include setup and teardown, driving between locations, supply and inventory support, troubleshooting, and temporary market coverage.
Most market days will be long days, beginning very early in the morning and potentially continuing into the late evening.
Mandatory Training
Training begins in mid-October and includes hands-on experience at actual Mango Man markets and events.
Applicants must also be available for training on:
- Saturday, October 24 — daytime
- Friday, October 30 — afternoon/evening
- Saturday, October 31 — daytime
Compensation
$25/hour for all assigned work, including market support, setup and teardown, inventory and supply coordination, market coverage, and required business driving time.
