Department Overview:

The School of Nursing Facilities Team oversees keys and facility access, mail and package delivery, EMS scheduling and event setup support, office planning, maintenance, and remodeling. We are located at 701 Highland Avenue, located on many bus routes, including the free Bus 80 route.

Schedule:

Shifts will be scheduled M-F between 8am and 5pm (No Saturdays or Sundays). Based on your current schedule, the ideal candidate would be able to have 3-4 shifts, totaling 10-15 hours. Friday afternoon availability is preferred for most weeks.

10-15 hours per week during the academic year.
Up to 30 hours per week during academic break periods.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in an educational institution.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Oral and written communication skills
• Familiarity with computers and software programs
• Ability to adapt to sudden changes and tasks
• Ability to set priorities, investigate alternative solutions, and solve problems
• Ability to participate in teams and facilitate teamwork
• Ability to work with confidential information
• Attention to detail

Position Summary/Job Duties:

This position will provide support to the Facilities staff by monitoring incoming customer requests, serving as a point of contact for basic information and needs, mail and package delivery and receiving, project & event support, preparing for and executing duties for planned space reallocation needs, completing scheduled key checkout and returns as needed, review and be available for meetings posted to a shared calendar during your scheduled shift.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to safely carry up to 25 pounds unassisted
• Ability to safely lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted
• Ability to sustain long periods of standing, walking, stooping, and bending on hard-surfaced floors
