Language Sciences is a hub for academic research, teaching, and outreach related to the scientific study of languages.

Qualifications:
Seeking TWO students to assist with a project to create online language learning modules in the Moodle platform. A qualified applicant will have strong communication skills, high computer literacy, ability to work both independently and on a team, excellent attention to detail, and familiarity with audio editing software such as Audacity. Will train on use of FLEx corpus software and Moodle platform. Funded by an Ira and Ineva Reilly Baldwin Wisconsin Idea Endowment grant.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Familiarity with or interest in any of the following would be helpful: -Techniques and methods of second language acquisition -Linguistics or corpus linguistics -Minority or heritage language revitalization
Position Summary/Job Duties:
-Edit audio files using Audacity -Build learning modules in Moodle platform -Analyze data from language corpus -Develop creative learning games and practice activities
