Department Overview:
The Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) assists students making college affordable through federal, state, and institutional funding. Our office strives to provide a seamless enrollment experience for students and their families which supports the recruitment, retention, and on-time graduation of students. Our Success Services aim to support students’ experiences so they can achieve their own journey of success. We offer Success Coaching, Basic Needs support, mentorship, and skill development. Schedule:
Be available for 15-20 hours/week for flexible shifts varying in time between 9:00 am-4:00pm Monday through Friday. Some hours might be outside of normal business hours.

Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled UW-Madison graduate student or admitted graduate student starting no later than Fall 2025 • Ability to commit for at least 1 academic year

• Ability to recognize and demonstrate the value of student employment in academic, personal, and professional growth • Ability and desire to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds & skillsets • Ability to create, facilitate, and evaluate engaging professional development workshops for students • Strong ability to problem-solve, think creatively, and be resourceful • Administrative skills and attention to detail • Ability to effectively communicate and create relationships with students, professional staff, student organizations, and campus partners •Ability to plan and execute community building events •Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities •Reliability and adaptability • Ability to maintain confidentiality
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Student Employment Support •Provide 1:1 coaching for students seeking on and off campus part-time employment •Help coordinate and support the annual Student Employment Summer Summit, a professional development conference for professional staff who supervise student employees •Create and facilitate trainings and workshops for student employee skill development •Provide administrative support for student employment initiatives including WiGROW, Engaged Leaders Through Employment, Student Supervisor Certificate, and Student Employee of the Year Success Services Team Responsibilities •Establish and nurture partnerships within the Office of Student Financial Aid and across campus to create a strong network for Success Services •Participate in Success Services & Student Employment outreach events and programs to promote resources and recruiting students to participate in services Additional Responsibilities: • Meet regularly with Student Experience Manager and with Success Coaching Team
