Department Overview:
|
At the Writing Center, our goal is to support writers in all disciplines and at all levels to become more confident and more effective writers. Our main way of achieving this goal is through individual sessions, in which our experienced instructors meet one-to-one with students to help them develop and organize ideas for course papers, applications, personal statements, resumes, cover letters, theses, dissertations, and more. During these sessions, our instructors provide a helpful audience by offering feedback for revision. The Writing Center also offers writing mentorships, weekly writing groups, non-credit workshops, campus outreach, an online Writer’s Handbook, and a community writing assistance program. |
