Department Overview:
University Health Services provides award-winning, high quality medical, mental health, prevention and wellness services to the UW-Madison student population. Our Mission is, UHS promotes, protects, and improves student health and wellbeing. Our medical services includes a primary care clinic and specialty clinics for immunizations, gynecology, travel and sexual health.

Qualifications:
Student should be able to work independently and as part of a team. Successful candidates can understand and follow written and oral instructions, meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliances, and possess effective listening and communication skills.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Required : Customer service experienced Preferred: Medical terminology experience Reception desk experience Comfortable talking to other students face to face Able to follow protocols Able to make patients feel comfortable upon entering the clinic
Position Summary/Job Duties:
The Student Medical Program Assistant will: - schedule follow-up appointments - direct students/patients to the correct department within UHS - help to manage the waiting room and LAB desk - and assist full-time MPA's and Supervisor/Lead MPA as directed
