Department Overview:

The MLRC is a research center focused on teaching and learning. Our goal is to advance educational outcomes for multilingual learners through innovative and socially just research and research–practice partnerships. The MLRC is part of the University of Wisconsin—Madison School of Education and is located within the Wisconsin Center for Educational Research.

Qualifications:

Current UW Madison Undergraduate Student

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· Data analysis and management skills for generating and refining reports (e.g., in Salesforce), processing transcripts, and supporting data analysis in tools like Qualtrics and Dedoose.

· Knowledge of analytics to collect and interpret data from various sources, including social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook) and websites, to assess impact and inform strategy.

· Attention to detail to accurately track and manage data, ensure participant consent for research studies, and maintain organized spreadsheets and digital files.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

MLRC Data Intern will assist with data management, analysis, and reporting. This role is perfect for a student interested in applying their skills to support research and program evaluation. The Database Intern will be responsible for:

  • Analytics and Reporting: Generating and refining reports in Salesforce, analyzing web traffic and social media impact, and compiling monthly analytics data.
  • Research Support: Assisting with ongoing research studies by processing transcripts, managing data, and tracking participant consent.
  • Survey and Program Analysis: Providing support for survey and program evaluation efforts, including data management and analysis using tools like Qualtrics and Dedoose.
