Department Overview:

The Employee Disability Resources (EDR) Office provides guidance on the disability accommodation process for applicants and employees at UW-Madison. EDR provides leadership to the university community to support employment access and ensure compliance.

Anticipated Start Date:

3/2/2026

Anticipated End Date (If Applicable):

Minimum of one-year commitment required. More than one year preferred.

Anticipated Hours Per Week:

Minimum: 8 Maximum: 10

Schedule:

8-10 hours per week. Mutually agree on a set schedule for the semester. Summer hours required.

Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

$15.00/hour

Qualifications:

• Enrolled UW–Madison student
• English proficiency sufficient for professional written and verbal communication
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Availability to commit to a mutually agreed schedule for the semester and summer

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Basic understanding of office and records management practices
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Accurate data entry and electronic file management
• Ability to organize, upload, and maintain digital records
• Ability to meet confidentiality expectations of the position
• Ability to follow established procedures and instructions
• Ability to communicate professionally with staff
• Ability to manage assigned tasks independently and meet deadlines

Position Summary/Job Duties:

• Online case file management: data entry and file upload
• Records management: semi-annual employee file updates/file purge
• Attend weekly meeting(s)
• Other duties as requested

Physical Demands:

This position is primarily remote or in an office environment and involves sedentary work.

• Ability to work for extended periods at a computer in a remote or office setting
• Ability to use a computer, keyboard, mouse, and standard office software
• Ability to read from and view a computer screen
• Ability to communicate effectively via email, video conferencing, and other virtual platforms
• Occasional in-person attendance at meetings or office activities, as required
