Department Overview:
UW-Madison Division of Extension is the branch of the University that engages in community-based research, outreach and education, and has educators in nearly every county in the state. The Extension Human Development and Relationships Institute provides outreach and education on topics like parenting and early childhood development, financial literacy, aging, caregiving and end-of-life planning.

Schedule:
Student will need to attend meetings and perform some responsibilities during normal working hours (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM). Many tasks can be done on student's own schedule.

Qualifications:
• Undergraduate student enrolled in the UW–Madison School of Human Ecology. • Student must be enrolled for credit at an educational institution. Student will need to show proof of enrollment before starting. • Employment will require a criminal background check • Employment will require documentation of legal right to work in the U.S.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Interest in financial capability education and supporting youth transitioning to independence. • Basic understanding of personal finance concepts (e.g., budgeting, credit, savings, financial institutions). • Graphic design skills (experience with tools like Canva, Adobe InDesign, or similar). • Strong written communication for creating clear, engaging educational materials. • Data tabulation skills (Excel or similar software). • Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. • Collaboration and teamwork skills for working with educators and specialists. • Attention to detail for reviewing and refining lesson content.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Assist with the layout and graphic design of the Life Skills Launchpad (LSL) curriculum lessons and materials so that they are visually appealing to participants and instructors. • Collaborate with Extension educators and specialists to develop supporting materials for the curriculum like marketing fliers and social media posts. • Tabulate pilot test evaluation results, summarizing findings for program improvement. • Ensure curriculum materials are organized, visually appealing, and accessible for diverse audiences. • Support the team in proofreading and editing lesson content for clarity and accuracy. • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for curriculum enhancement and statewide implementation. • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to curriculum development and evaluation. • Assist with basic data entry and reporting tasks as needed. • Perform other duties related to curriculum design and program support as assigned.
