Qualifications:
Must be enrolled in an education institution. Well-qualified candidates will have: - Interest in finance/accounting and/or data analytics. - Excellent organizational skills. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to follow procedures consistently and accurately, with a high level of attention to detail. -Ability to be self-directed and manage time effectively to meet key deadlines. - Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information. - Experience using MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook. To be considered, applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, and three references including the current/most recent supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Candidates should be detailed orientated and prosses strong organizational skills. The ideal candidate should be willing to work in a fast-paced setting with diverse team members or on their own, depending on the project.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Step into the dynamic, fast-paced world of finance in emergency medicine as a Student Financial Assistant with the BerbeeWalsh Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health! In this role, you’ll be part of a collaborative team of finance professionals who support the department’s administrative and operational needs. Responsibilities include a variety of administrative and financial tasks such as reconciling credit card purchases, submitting reimbursements, reviewing non-salary expense entries in the general ledger, updating Smartsheet dashboards, leveraging technology to automate routine processes, and assisting with other office tasks as needed. Because this position involves handling sensitive and confidential information, discretion and professionalism are essential.
Physical Demands:
Job requires ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged amount of time. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
