Department Overview:

The University of Wisconsin, UW School of Medicine & Public Health, Division of Geriatrics and Gerontology is seeking a student to fulfill a part-time, administrative support role for a project focused on increasing awareness and exposure to the field of geriatrics through the focused outreach and education of pre-clinical medical students. Qualifications:

Currently enrolled as a UW-Madison undergraduate student (preference given to a student who can commit to a minimum of 3 semesters). Particular consideration will be given to applicants with two or more years left on their course of study.
Prefer Health Science Major

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

o Able to work independently and with initiative
o Strong organization and record-keeping skills
o Strong communication skills
o MS Office Suite, Outlook
o Remote meeting platforms (i.e. Zoom, Webex)
o Attention to detail

Position Summary/Job Duties:

The duties of the position include, but are not limited to, scheduling meetings via Zoom or Webex, tracking deliverables, coordinating patient/participant visits, arranging parking for visitors to campus, student feedback data organization and analysis, greeting visitors to campus and processing expense reimbursements.

Ideal candidates are organized, detail‑oriented, and strong communicators with an interest in health sciences. The role is 2–10 hours per week at $13/hour, with in‑person work at the WARF building and a preference for students able to commit to multiple semesters.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to work onsite for select in-person events, when scheduled.
