Department Overview:

The UW Department of Family Medicine and Community Health advances health and well-being by caring, teaching, discovering, leading, and connecting. The administration of the department works with staff, clinicians, researchers, and learners as the department works these goals.

Summer shifts available are mornings only from 8-12:30pm, Monday-Friday; fall shifts will vary and are available from 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday

Minimum: $15.00

Qualifications:

Enrolled for credit in the UW System or other education institute.
Able to work OFF CAMPUS as we are located at 610. N Whitney Way.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Suite is required

Position Summary/Job Duties:

• Provide front office and general administrative support by answering phones, monitoring and responding to email, processing mail, maintaining records, filing, word processing, updating spreadsheets, data entry, etc.
• Greet and assist visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Support staff, clinicians, and faculty as needed with office related tasks such as mail, office/locker keys, building maintenance tickets, ordering supplies, etc.
• Help maintain an organized, efficient, and welcoming office environment
• Assist with routine office tasks or other special projects as assigned
• Assist with setup of food/furniture for special events

Physical Demands:

Must be able to occasionally lift objects weighing approximately 25lbs. Rearranging tables and chairs for meetings.
