Department Overview:
Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) provides guidance, technical consultations, and expertise to the campus community in the areas of biological, chemical, environmental, engineering, radiation, and fire safety. The Office of Radiation Safety is responsible for maintaining and administering the highest levels of safety protocols related to radiation safety on the UW campus.

Position Summary/Job Duties:
The Student Health Physics Technician role will primarily consist of taking an annual wipe test of labs that work with radioactive materials. There is a tracking mechanism already in place for what labs are due when. Additionally, we have a method to recycle scintillation cocktail that is not contaminated to be used again that can be done by student employees.
Physical Demands:
Walking to various locations on campus to perform wipe surveys
