Department Overview:
We are a locally owned wellness company providing health optimization services to individuals throughout the Madison area. Schedule:
10-20 hours per week. Flexible scheduling based on student availability. Combination of remote work and occasional on-site meetings. Preferred availability includes at least one weekday morning or afternoon each week for team meetings and project updates.

Qualifications:
Current University of Wisconsin student Federal Work Study eligibility required Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Interest in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, advertising, entrepreneurship, business, sports marketing, or related fields Comfortable conducting outreach via email, phone, and social media Reliable transportation preferred for occasional local meetings and events
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Students will gain practical experience in: Public relations and media outreach Press release writing and distribution Influencer and ambassador marketing Business partnership development Community engagement strategies Digital advertising fundamentals Google Ads and Meta Ads campaign structure Marketing analytics and reporting CRM and marketing database management Project management and professional communication Entrepreneurial problem solving within a growing business
Position Summary/Job Duties:
The Growth Marketing & Partnerships Intern will work directly with company leadership on marketing initiatives that support customer acquisition, brand awareness, and community engagement. Responsibilities may include: Researching and identifying local media opportunities Drafting and distributing press releases Building and maintaining media contact databases Researching Wisconsin athletes, creators, influencers, and community partners Conducting outreach for sponsorship, ambassador, and promotional opportunities Assisting with partnership activation and event marketing efforts Researching and evaluating competitor marketing activities Assisting with Google Ads and Meta Ads campaign research, setup, organization, and performance analysis Helping improve marketing tracking and reporting systems Organizing and maintaining marketing assets and outreach records Creating presentations and recommendations for future marketing initiatives Assisting with special projects related to business growth and expansion
Physical Demands:
Primarily sedentary office and computer-based work Ability to sit, stand, and work on a computer for extended periods Occasional lifting and transportation of promotional materials up to 20 pounds Occasional attendance at local events, sponsorship activations, or community outreach opportunities Ability to travel locally within the Madison area as needed
