Department Overview:
The over-arching goal of the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research (OVCR) is to address the complex challenges of the university’s broad research enterprise and support the needs of graduate education across campus, in a thoughtful and collaborative manner, all while providing strong leadership and clear vision in the constant pursuit of research and graduate education excellence. Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) requirements play a pivotal role in the research process by providing educational opportunities for researchers to learn best practices.

Qualifications:
You must be enrolled as an undergraduate student or graduate student to qualify for this position.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
• Ability and desire to provide excellent customer service. • Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills. • Commitment to respect, courtesy, and confidentiality in the workplace. • Ability to work without direct supervision; self-motivated, reliable, and professional. • Ability to use typical workplace software (e.g., word), track work and workflows, and learn office-specific IT tools. • Ability to work with sensitive documents and maintain confidentiality.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
• This position provides administrative support for the Office of Research Policy and Integrity, mainly the area of responsible conduct of research. • Develop outreach materials and communication plans for campus events. • Notify appropriate schools and colleges of upcoming educational opportunities. • Track Responsible Conduct of Research Training and report non-completion to appropriate areas. • Demonstrate excellent customer service to anyone who contact the Office of Research Policy and Integrity.
Physical Demands:
Ability to work at a desk on a computer for several hours.
